Rejoy App: How can we make family finance more fun and delightful?

Design for Mobile · Interface Design
Introduction
Modern technology has failed families. There are useful apps out there, yet most parents run their lives on iMessage. This is because the “20 apps for 20 problems” approach doesn’t work. And when it comes to finances, they are mainly done in head or on a piece of dirty paper.
Problem Statement
Couples living together often share their whole life, including finances. However, it is nearly impossible to have an overview of all finances in a relationship unless the couple has a joint account.
Goal
Together with the family super app Rejoy, we aim to offer couples a space to share their finances with each other, have an easy-to-understand overview of their household expenses and make finance sexy again.

Key features
After carefully reviewing the competitors' applications, I drafted a list of the most delightful and essential features for an MLP and added gamification aspect to make the finance feature more engaging.
Budgeting made more fun with gamification elements
🚩 Challenge: It is technically challenging to assign the right category to all expenses automatically. It is almost inevitable to ask users to manually assign some categories.

🚀 Outcome: To make assigning the right categories to transactions fun, users can use the "Tinder-Like" swipe feature to choose the right category.
Choose who can see each transaction
🚩 Challenge: Currently, most of the available budgeting apps offer couples have two options: share all transactions or none.

🚀 Outcome: Rejoy gives couples the freedom to choose what transactions are going to be visible in their shared space.
Simple overview of shared household expenses
🚩 Challenge: A Lot of finance and budgeting apps feature complex charts and analysis that confuse rather than help.

🚀 Outcome: Users can switch between personal and joint view and see simple analysis of the main expense categories.
